Last week I implemented part two of my action research plan. We started by logging on to wfar.com. This website has a listing of home for sale in our area. I had the students click on a home and watch the virtual tour. I asked them questions like, "How is a virtual tour helpful?" and "Why do we need virtual tours?" The students were very intrigued by this website. I later had them explore the website on their own and pick homes they wanted to see a watch virtual tours of their choice.
This lesson was successful in allowing students to explore virtual tours and the whys and hows this type of technology is important to us.

Implementation of my Action Research Plan
Yesterday, March 5, 2012, I began implementing my action research plan with my own class as a trial run for Mrs. Pedon's class. We logged on to freetypinggames.net and worked on typing skills. The website was user friendly for the students and kept them actively engaged. My students were so excited about how many words they could type per minute. The computer instructor, Mrs. Rodgers, was also very excited to have another website for the students to use that is directly related to the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade TEKS.
Hopefully, when this part of the action research plan is implemented with Mrs. Pedon's class, all will go just as smooth. "fingers-crossed"
